Since his podcast script BlueLife was a semi-finalist at AFF 2021, Kenneth Heaton has been working with Director/Producer Mark Vashro and Texas-based audio producer, Rachel Boyd getting the series ready for a September 1 launch.

"The Writers Conference was a boon of information and insight for Mark and me," Heaton said. "We met and learned from the greats, like Lindsay Graham (American History Tellers, American Scandal) who took the time to share his insights and advice with us. AFF provided the spark that supercharged our project."

BlueLife is a character-driven series set in the post-apocalyptic city-state of Los Angeles - the last bastion of humanity on the planet. Two warring factions fight over a life-saving drug, BlueLife, which could determine the outcome of the human race.

The cast includes Mapuana Makia (Apple TV’s Invasion, the CW’s Family Law, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.,), Joel Marsh Garland (Poker Face, Orange is the New Black, Birdman, The Last OG), Donna Jay Fulks (X-Men ’97, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, I Love That for You ) and JillMarie Lawrence (Dexter: Original Sin, Ocean’s Eight, City by the Sea, Law & Order).
